About the Role

The Senior Buyer, Components is responsible for the procurement and operational management of JPMS packaging component suppliers — including bottles, closures, pumps, tubes, cartons, and labels — ensuring continuity of supply, achievement of service expectations, and execution of procurement objectives. This role serves as the primary day-to-day liaison between JPMS and assigned component suppliers, supporting ongoing production, commercialization activities, and inventory management across the business.

This position also owns component specification, tooling, and mold records for assigned categories, partnering with Quality and R&D to qualify new components and coordinate first article inspections before production release. As a senior individual contributor, the Senior Buyer is expected to manage supplier relationships and category decisions with minimal oversight, escalating supply risk, quality, and commercial issues to Procurement leadership as needed.

This position also serves as a key analytical resource within the Purchasing organization by developing reports, evaluating supplier performance, monitoring lead time trends, analyzing cost impacts, and providing recommendations that improve service, reduce risk, and support business objectives.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

Skills:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, Power Query, and reporting
  • Strong analytical, inventory management, and cost analysis capabilities
  • Working knowledge of packaging components (bottles, closures, pumps, tubes, cartons, labels) and tooling/mold concepts
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and component specifications.
  • Supplier relationship management and negotiation skills
  • D365 or other ERP experience
  • Strong communication and cross-functional stakeholder management skills

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of purchasing, procurement, supplier management, inventory planning, or supply chain experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Skills:
  • Knowledge of packaging sustainability principles, including PCR content and recyclability, preferred

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, or related field preferred

Experience:

  • Experience with packaging components, tooling/mold management, or new component qualification preferred
  • Experience with components, packaging, consumer products, or beauty manufacturing preferred

We are eager to meet people who believe in our mission and can contribute to our team in a variety of ways - not just candidates who check all the boxes. If you think you would be a good fit for the position and our company, we invite you to apply
