Job Title: PCU/Stepdown Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Valid Compact license must be in hand at submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Cardiac drip experience with the ability to titrate and manage. Willingness to float to Tele or MS floors if overstaffed. Weekend availability required; every other weekend. Ability to manage and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips is mandatory. Description: Looking for experienced PCU/Stepdown nurses. Candidates should be comfortable with a ratio of 1:3-4. Nursing responsibilities include managing cardiac drips, vasoactive drips, and monitoring telemetry. Familiarity with Epic charting system is required. Traveling nurses may float between units if necessary. On-call duties are not required. Candidates may choose one holiday to work, either Thanksgiving or Christmas, but not both. Every other weekend staffing is required. This position offers 48-hour approval for scheduling flexibility. Previous charge experience is preferred. Strong support staff is available, including IV teams and respiratory services. Patient age groups will include adults and geriatrics. Special equipment utilized includes cardiac monitoring and cardiac gtts. A hardstop requirement exists for titration and management of cardiac and vasoactive drips. New hires must provide references covering the last three years of employment.
