Job Title: Occupational Therapist Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: Acute Care Client Duration: 20 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: State License required Certifications: BLS, NBCOT Must-Have: Orthopedics, dynamic splints, functional splints, static splints, amputee care, upper/lower extremity rehabilitation, knowledge of Parkinson's disease, arthritis, and other progressive neurological disorders Description: Minimum experience required is 1 year. The unit accepts first-time travelers. Required skills include orthopedics, dynamic splints, functional splints, static splints, amputee care, upper/lower extremity rehabilitation, Parkinson's disease, arthritis, and other progressive neurological disorders. Candidates must hold a state license, BLS certification, and NBCOT certification. The schedule is 5 days per week, 8 hours per day, with flexibility to consider 4 days at 10 hours. Weekends and holidays are part of the rotation, in an acute care hospital setting. Travelers are expected to work if one major holiday falls within the assignment period. If two major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work both. If three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work two out of the three holidays. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. Full compliance is required to start on time. If not compliant in time, there may be a pushback of 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule. Locals are accepted at the same rate. All compliance documents are required by the specified deadline. Modules include orientation and vary by specialty. Modules are recorded via transcripts.
